Christmas Greetings

Greetings! We are just a few days past Christmas, and I hope that each of you enjoyed your time with your family. It is time, once again, for a new challenge over at Inkspirational! This time, we are challenged to create a card with only stamping.  Please see the parameters allowed over at Inkspirational for specific details!

Although, I consider myself a stamper, and nearly all my cards include stamping, I did not realize how I over time have added layers of things other than stamping to my cards, so this truly was a challenge for me!

As my card was made some time ago, I hope you will forgive me that it is still a Holiday card! Images are all by Stampers Anonymous. Please stop over to Inkspirational for inspiration by the rest of the Design Team and then we hope that you will share a creation of your own with us!

Thanks for dropping by and I wish each of you a very Happy New Year! Best, Yvonne

Greetings everyone! It's time, once again, for a new challenge over at Inkspirational!  This time, we have a word prompt:  "Gift."

I hope that you will pop over to Inkspirational and see how each of the Design Team members interpreted the challenge and then inspire us with a project of your own!

My card uses images from Crafty Individuals and Art Declassified. Thanks so much for stopping by! Best, Yvonne

Christmas Greetings

Greetings! The weeks roll by quickly, and once again it is time for a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge.  Our theme is "Celebrating." It can be a project around celebrating Christmas, New Years, Birthdays, or whatever else strikes your fancy.

I hope that you will stop over and check out all the beautiful and inspiring projects by the rest of the Design Team and then consider making a project of your own to share with us.  Remember, we are a stamping challenge, so the focal point of your project must be stamped.  Also, one lucky participant will be selected to win a stamp image provided by our gracious sponsor Ink Art Designs

For my own project, I began by sprinkling Bister crystals in blue and brown onto a water color panel.  The pup carrying an evergreen branch is a new to me stamp from The Frantic Stamper. The sentiment is a stamp image by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous and the little boy is a paper doll by Tim Holtz for Idealogy. The corners are hand drawn and a bit of Stickles for sparkle complete my card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I truly value your visits and comments.  Best, Yvonne

The Lost Generation

Greetings! The weeks are whizzing past and already it is time for another challenge over at Inkspirational. The theme this time around is a photo inspiration depicted below!

For my inspiration piece, I created a card using a set of stamp images by Artistic Outpost using the colors reflected in the inspiration photo. You will want to pop over to Inkspiration to check out the inspiration pieces of the rest of the Design Team and then consider creating one of  your own to share with us.

Thanks for dropping by! Best, Yvonne

We Wish You A Merry Christmas!

Greetings! It is time again for a new theme over at Eclectic Ellapu.  For the month of December, our theme is Christmas. It can be a gift or anything festive.

I am in card making mode, so a festive Christmas card seemed the path for me.  The stamp image is by Artistic Outpost and is one of my all time favorites. I added Stickles around the edges of the image, matted the image with some green glitter paper and added the prepared panel to the front of a card base. A bit of bling in the upper corner finishes off my card. I hope that you will stop over to see what the rest of the design team has dreamed up to inspire you and then create a piece of your own to share with all of us.

Thanks for dropping by.  I truly appreciate your support. Best, Yvonne

All is Calm, All is Bright

Greetings! The weeks roll by and it is already time for another challenge over at Inkspiration! This time, we are challenged to create a Christmas Card using only Neutral Colors!

I hope you will stop over to see what the rest of the design team have dreamed up to inspire you and then create a project of your own to share with us! For my own project, I began with a kraft paper panel, tore paper and added it to the panel. I stamped images onto the panel with Archival Ink. I buttered the white paper with texture paste and added some Stickles for sparkle. Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Yvonne

Peace On Earth

Greetings! It is time, once again, for a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge. Our challenge theme:  Nature.
I hope you will stop on over to FSC to see what the rest of the Design Team have dreamed up to inspire you and then create a project of your own to share with FSC. Remember one lucky participant will be selected to win a free stamp courtesy of our gracious sponsor Ink Art Designs. As always, we are a stamp challenge, so please remember your project must use stamping as a focal point.

For my own piece, I watercolored the top of a panel with water colors and used acrylic paint on the bottom. The stamp images are by Tim Holtz for Stampendous. Thanks so much for stopping by. Best, Yvonne

May your Christmas be Bright

sta
Greetings! It is time, once again, for a new challenge over at Inkspirational! This time, we have a word prompt: Trend

There are all sorts of ways to define "trend" of course, and if you pop on over to Inkspirational, you will see each designer's unique approach. For my own card, I decided to go with a Christmas Card, as we are starting to see a wave of them with the Holidays upon us.

It is unusual for me not to have stamping on my cards, but I recently received a packet of free goodies with an order from Funkie Junkie Boutique and I thought it would be fun to craft a card using the items.  As well, I understand large die cuts are popular just now.

I worked with Magicals by Lindy's Stamp Gang and then layered my pieces on top of the panel before matting and attaching to a card base.

We hope you are inspired to create a trendy project of your own to share with us! Thanks for stopping by! Yvonne

Imagine

Greetings! It is time for a new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu, and this time the theme is "Anything Goes!" It's an opportunity to pull out one of your uninked stamps and get inky!

For my own project, I colorized a water color background panel a variety of Distress Oxides and a new to me stencil by Donna Downey. The images on the background and the focal images are from a set by Katzelkraft Stamps. The focal images were stamped multiple times with different inks and pieced together to add a bit of color.

I hope that you will pop on over to see what the rest of the Design Team have dreamed up for you and then create a piece of your own to share with us.  Thanks for stopping by. Yvonne

Trick or Treat!

Greetings! Today is Halloween! I decided to create this card just because it is Halloween. I created the background using Magicals. The images and sentiments are by Oxford Impressions.  The fence is a die by Cherry Lynn Designs. Thanks for stopping by! Yvonne

Octobers

Greetings! The weeks roll by and we are back again with a new challenge over at Inkspirational. This time we are working from the photo below.

I hope that you will pop on over to see all the unique takes by the rest of the Design Team and then consider making one of your own to share with us!

For my own card, I worked for the first time with Infusions by Paper Artsy to create my inky background.  The stamped images are by Artistic Outpost and the sentiment is also by Paper Artsy.

Thanks for stopping by! Best, Yvonne

We always think we'll have TIME!

Greetings! Back with a post for the new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge where the theme centers around "Time."

I hope that you will stop over to see what the rest of the design team have dreamed up for you and then consider creating a project of your own to share with us.  Please remember that we are a stamping challenge, so stamping needs to be the focal point of your project.  As always, our sponsor at Ink Art Designs will graciously provide a stamp to one lucky participant.

For my own card, I began by spritzing a water color panel with various Distress Ink Sprays.  I then stamped images from Visible Image onto the panel and doodled around the perimeter before matting the panel and adding it to the card front.

Thanks, as always, for stopping by.  Hugs, Yvonne

Happy Halloween!

Greetings! It is time again for a new challenge over at Inkspirational! This time, it's to create a project with just "one layer."

Not sure why, but I find one layer cards extremely challenging! For my own creation, I worked with images by Oxford Impressions.  I colorized with Distress Inks and added a bit of Ranger Stickles and some doodling.  I hope you will stop over to see what the rest of the design team cooked up for you and then create a project of your own to share with us.  Thanks for stopping by! Yvonne

Quoth the Raven

Greetings! I am several days behind in posting my project for the October Challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu.  Life sometimes gets in the way, doesn't it? I am grateful to Elaine for her patience.  The theme this month is: Dark/Dramatic Colors and/or Scary!

I chose to go with scary.  Black birds really creep me out, specifically in the fall. I began with an orange tag from Red Lead Paperworks, stamped the raven and sentiments, which are from Red Lead Paperworks, as well. I used Distress Inks to colorize and distress everything, and then assemble it onto the tag.

We look forward to seeing what you come up with for your own projects! Happy Crafting. Best, Yvonne

Something About Audrey

Greetings friends! I'm a bit behind with getting my post out for the new challenge over at Inkspirational where the theme is a word prompt "Hello."
For my own card, I used this iconic image of Audrey Hepburn by Deep Red. The sentiment is by Red Lead Paperworks.  I added a stencil by Stencil Girl over the focal image and spritzed with Rose Quartz Dylusions Ink Spray. The panel was doodled, matted and added to a card base. I hope that you will stop over to see what the rest of the Design Team has dreamed up to inspire you and that you will in turn create a project of your own to share with us.  Thanks, as always, for stopping by.  Best, Yvonne

To the Moon and Back

Greetings! I have been away for many, many weeks, though there have been some scheduled posts. I did not have my art supplies with me either, so after taking care of necessities, I treated myself to some time in my art studio. I decided to play along with the newest challenge over at Stampotique where the theme is "Only Blue." I inked up this darling rocket ship and passengers for the first time using Midnight Blue Staz On Ink and water colored it with several tints of Distress Ink. The panel was spritzed with Periwinkle Blue Dylusions Ink and the moon was masked with Frisket, but the ink bled through and I actually like it! Stars by NStudio for Rubber Moon and a splattering of sequins in shades of blue by Red Lead Paperworks completes my card. Thanks for stopping by and for leaving love and comments. Best, Yvonne

Dance Ballerina, Dance!

Greetings! It is time, once again, for a new challenge over at Inkspirational! This time, the challenge is to make a project based on the inspiration photo below.

Though my first thought was to go very similar to the photo above, in the end, I decided to go a bit more colorful. I grabbed a scrap piece of water color paper that had some mop up ink on it and using a Red Lead Paperwork stencil to trace around the edges before cutting the ballerina out.  The background was also created using a Red Lead Paperwork stencil. I doodled around the edges after distressing with Spun Pink Distress Ink and added some sequins for fun.  I hope that you will pop on over to Inkspirational to see what the rest of the design team has created and then share a project of your own with us.  Best, Yvonne

Time to Fly

Greetings! It is time, once again, for a new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu, where this time the theme is Floral and Fauna and/or Nature.  For my project, I decided to use this gorgeous stamp from Indigo Blue of a butterfly. I colored it with water colors, added some sentiments by Red Lead Paperworks and splattered Golden Fluid Acrylics paint on the panel, which was then matted and added to a card base. Please stop over to EE to see the rest of the projects the design team have dreamed up for you and then we hope that you will create a project of your own to share with us.  Thanks for stopping by! Best, Yvonne

Think and Wonder

Greetings! It is time again for a new challenge over at Inkspirational. This time, the challenge is "Oldie but Goodie" and we are to use a stamp from when we first started stamping.

For my own card, I chose to work with a stamp set by Artistic Outpost called Think and Wonder.  Not only is it one of my older stamps, it is also one of my favorite "go to" stamp sets.

I hope that you will pop on over to Inkspirational to see what the rest of the Design Team has to share with you!  We look forward to seeing your creations! Best, Yvonne

Sing Your Heart Songs

Greetings! Welcome to the newest challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge where the theme this time, selected by our own Dot Leathbridge, is "All About Inkiness." I hope that you will pop on over and check out all the samples created for you by the Design Team and then be inspired to create a piece of your own to share with us.  One lucky participant will receive a stamp from our generous vendor, Ink Art Designs. Please remember though, that we are a stamp challenge, so stamping needs to be front and center, the focal image of your project.

For my own piece, I began by spritzing a water color panel with various shades of Distress Ink. Next I stamped Distress Oxides on a craft mat, spritzed with water and then dragged it through the inkiness.  More background was built up with stamps and more Distress Oxides and doodling with a white Gel Pen.  The focal images by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous were stamped with Catherine Pooler ink, trimmed and adhered to the panel after adding some washi tape to ground the images.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I look forward to seeing what you create! Hugs, Yvonne

Beyond the Deep Blue Sea

Greetings! Due to technical difficulties, my post is delayed for the newest challenge over at Inkspirational where our theme this time is "Wave." Since I am at the ocean and was thinking about my visit to the beach when I worked on my project, I chose to go with ocean waves, but there are lots of other ways to go, as you will see when you check out the inspiration pieces by the rest of the design team!

For my own card, I decided to tear strips of card stock to represent waves, rather than use a stamp image.  The beach huts and sailboats are by Stampotique Originals, the sentiment is by Red Lead Paperworks and the sea birds are by Crafty Individuals. We look forward to seeing what you dream up.  Thanks for stopping by and for all your kind comments. Best, Yvonne

You are Pawsome!

Greetings! It's time again for a new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu.  This time, our theme is "Anything Goes." That should make it easy for everyone to play along!

I hope you will stop over to see the variety of projects that our design team have created to inspire you and that you will then crate one of your own to share with us.

Mine is quite simple.  I spritzed water color paper with water and then Distress Inks. I stamped a Stampotique image with white fluid acrylic onto the background and doodled with a black pen. I stamped, with Distress Ink, a foreground with a stamp by Stampendous. Next I water colored some Tim Holtz Paperdolls and added them to the panel. Some sentiments by Red Lead Paperworks complete my card. Thanks for stopping by.  I truly appreciate your visits. Best, Yvonne

Eternity

Greetings! It is time once again for a new challenge over at Inkspirational. This time, we are to create a project based on the photo below.

This was fun! I fashioned the boards from water color paper that I colored with Distress Ink Oxides and burnished the edges with Gathered Twigs Distress Inks. The seashells by Oxford Impressions were stamped in various colors of ink on scrap card and layered onto the panel. The bottle is a stamp by Paper Artsy, the sentiment is by Red Lead Paperworks and the flowers are by Donna Downey for Unity Stamps. I hope you will pop over to see all the creative makes by the rest of the Design Team and then consider joining us with a project of your own. Thanks for stopping by.  I truly appreciate your visit and your comments. Hugs, Yvonne

Cherished Memories

Greetings! It is once again time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational! This time we have a sketch to follow. The circles are for placement, but the actual shape you use, is up to you!

For my own design, I chose to replace the circles with seashells! The sentiment and shells and sequins are all by RedLead Paperworks. I am not the best at CAS designs, but if you pop on over to Inkspirational, you will be inspired by the rest of the design team for sure!  I hope you will create and share a project of your own! Thanks for stopping by.  Hugs, Yvonne

Gone Fishing

Greetings and thank you for stopping by my blog! My card today is for the latest challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge.  Our theme, "Gone Fishing." You can make a project with anything about fish, or even a boat on the sea! My card is quite simple, but I really was trying to capture just what was happening under the surface of the water, rather than the bottom of the ocean! I hope you will stop over to FSC and see all the awe-inspiring makes of the design team for further inspiration and then consider sharing a make of your own with us.  Please remember that we are a stamping challenge, so stamping needs to be the focal point of your piece.  One lucky participant will be selected to win a free stamp by our sponsor, Ink Art Designs.

For my piece, I began with a watercolor panel. I smooshed various Distress Ink Oxides onto a craft mat, one at a time, spritzed with water and mopped up the inkiness.  I sprinkled water onto the panel and heat set it. It lacked the dimension I was seek so I added spritzes of Distress Ink Sprays in Faded Blue Jeans and Broken China. The hook, sentiments, and fish are all by Paper Artsy and some of my favorite images.  Not sure why I am enthralled by fish, but I am always on the lookout for a new fish stamp! I think I am amazed at how many different fish God created! After stamping the fish on scrap water color paper, I put down more Distress Ink Oxides on my craft mat, spritzed with water and dragged the fish through the inkiness. I also added some color with TomBow Markers and a water pen. To finish off my card, I added sequins by Red Lead Paperworks.

We look forward to seeing what you are inspired to make! Thanks for stopping by. Best, Yvonne

Rural Greetings

Greetings! It's time again for a new challenge over at Inkspirational! This time, the theme is "Rural."

I hope that you will stop over to Inkspirational and see all the cool makes by the rest of the design team. For my own card, I began with a water color panel and added various colors of Bister to the panel and spritzed with water. The focal images and background stamps are all by Artistic Outpost. The sentiment is a very old stamp from a company no longer around. My stepfather loves tractors so I colorized it for him specifically.

I hope that you will share your own inspired work of art with us!Thanks so much for stopping by. Hugs, Yvonne

By the Sea

Greetings! Its a new month and a new theme over at Eclectic Ellapu.  The theme this month is "By the Sea." I hope that you will check out all the inspired pieces by the Design Team and then create a piece of your own to share with us.  For my own make, I used several sets of images from Red Lead Paperworks. The background was filled in with water color and a few small seashells complete my card.  Thanks for stopping by. Hugs, Yvonne

Be strong, Hold on

Greetings! It is time, once again, for a new challenge over at Inkspirational! This time, we have a photo to inspire us. I love this photo! Probably as it suits my decorating style.

For my project, I created a card. I began by placing a stencil by Stencil Girl over a water color panel. I then sprinkled several shades of blue Magicals over the stencil and sprayed with water. The focal point at the bottom is an image by Dina Wakely as are the sentiments.

I hope that you will stop over to see what the rest of the design team has created and then create a project of your own to share with us.  Hugs, Yvonne

Mademoiselle de Paris

Greetings! It is time again for a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge.  This time, our theme is all about "Feminine."  You will be absolutely delighted with the varied samples of the design team and we hope that you will be inspired to create a project of your own to share with us at FSC.  Remember, stamping must be the focal point of your project. One lucky participant will win a free stamp courtesy of Ink Art Designs

For my own project, I began with a water color panel. I spritzed various colors of Distress Inks onto the panel and added water. The beautiful stamp is by Carabelle Studio and stamped with archival ink by Catherine Pooler. The textured lace is a stencil by Tim Holtz as are the flowers. The ribbon is from my stash. Not my first thought, when thinking of feminine, but in the end, I went where my heart led and I am pleased.  Hugs, Yvonne

Later, Gator!

Greetings everyone.  I am here today with the June 2017 Challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu where the theme is "add a touch of pink or purple to your project."  I hope that you will pop on over to Eclectic Ellapu to see what the design team has dreamed up for you and then create and share a project of your own.  For my project, I stamped a flamingo and alligator by Stampotique and added Brushos and a sentiment, also by Stampotique.  I enjoyed making this one! Hugs, Yvonne

Lots of Windows!

Greetings! I can only think it has to do with losing Jack, but I must apologize for my delay in posting several projects that were due this weekend.  For my first post, I have created a card for the new challenge over at Inkspirational where the theme is "windows!" I do hope that you will pop on over to see the varied, and delightful offerings of the rest of the Design Team.

After carefully looking through all my stamps and stencils, the only windows I had were huge (9"x12") so I opted to ink up this new to me stamp of a building with lots of windows by Paper Artsy.  I tried a new ink pad by Catherine Pooler.  All I can say is wow! If you struggle to get full coverage, struggle no more! The buildings were watercolored with TomBow Markers and I doodled around the border with an Ultrafine Sharpie. A few spritzes of Distress Ink splattered with a brush completes my card.  Thanks for everyone's patience.  Hugs, Yvonne

Beep...Beep

Greetings! My post today is for the new challenge over at Inkspirational where are working with the Word Prompt "Urban."

I have been fascinated recently with all the stamps and dies you can purchase around cityscapes! I guess I'm just a city girl at heart! My card was created with Gelatoes and a variety of stamp images from Stampotique. I really had fun with this one! I hope you will stop over to see the really cool makes of the rest of the Design Team and then create a project of your own to share with us.  Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Yvonne

Go Wild or Go Home!

Greetings! It is time again for a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge! The theme this time is to "Go Wild." Please visit FSC to see all the different directions the design team went for inspiration and then we hope that you will create a project of your own to share with us! I began with a piece of kraft paper. I had some left over paint from another  project and just wildly, with abandonment, squiggled paint onto the panel. It seemed like a perfect background for our challenge! The focal images and sentiments are by Crafty Individuals. The spotted matting was recycled from a shopping bag. We have a new sponsor over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge, our very own Dot Leathbridge, who's dream has come true with her very own shop called Ink Art Designs! Remember, ours is a stamp challenge, so stamping must be the focal point of your project. One lucky participant will win a  stamp from generous Dot! Thanks for stopping by!
