Winter Wonderland

Greetings! Thanks for stopping by my blog today.  I am here to share my design with you for the newest challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge where the theme is "Winter!"

I hope that you will pop on over to see what the rest of the design team have dreamed up to inspire you and that you in turn will create a project of your own to share with us.

My card is quite simple.  When I think of winter, I think of virgin snow. I love looking out over fields of untouched snow. I chose this stamp by Crafty Individuals stamped on water color paper and tinted ever so lightly with water colors. The background was created with a snowflake stamp by Oxford Impressions and sparkled up with Stickles.

One lucky participant will be selected to win a stamp image by our generous sponsor, Ink Art Designs. Please remember we are a stamp challenge and stamping most be the focal point of your project. Happy Stamping! Yvonne

Dreamer, Doer, Thinker

Greetings! I am back again with a post for the latest Challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge where the theme is "Floral."

I chose this beautiful floral stamp and sentiment by Donna Downey for Unity Stamps.  I water colored it with various watercolors and the center has some added bling with copper Stickles. The background was done with black embossing paste and a stencil from Tim Holtz.

I hope that you will stop over to see all the beautiful inspiration pieces by the rest of the design team and then consider make a piece of your own to share with us. Please remember that we are a stamping challenge, so your focal image must be stamped!

Our generous vendor Ink Art Designs has a stamp image to gift to one lucky participant. Thanks for stopping by.

All is Calm, All is Bright

Greetings! The weeks roll by and it is already time for another challenge over at Inkspiration! This time, we are challenged to create a Christmas Card using only Neutral Colors!

I hope you will stop over to see what the rest of the design team have dreamed up to inspire you and then create a project of your own to share with us! For my own project, I began with a kraft paper panel, tore paper and added it to the panel. I stamped images onto the panel with Archival Ink. I buttered the white paper with texture paste and added some Stickles for sparkle. Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Yvonne

Happy Halloween!

Greetings! It is time again for a new challenge over at Inkspirational! This time, it's to create a project with just "one layer."

Not sure why, but I find one layer cards extremely challenging! For my own creation, I worked with images by Oxford Impressions.  I colorized with Distress Inks and added a bit of Ranger Stickles and some doodling.  I hope you will stop over to see what the rest of the design team cooked up for you and then create a project of your own to share with us.  Thanks for stopping by! Snow

Greetings! So lovely of you to drop by my blog today! We have a new challenge at Inkspirational!

This time, it's a "word prompt." Lots of different ways to go with the word, "Chill." I immediately thought of being outside, as the weather turns cooler. You will want to stop over, though, at Inkspirational, to see how the rest of the Design Team interpreted the challenge.  We hope you will consider creating a piece of your own to share with us.

For my piece, I worked with an image by Gecko Galz. The snowflakes, sentiment and branches on the front of the card are all by Oxford Impressions. Had fun with my Ranger Enamels and Stickles in completeting my card. Thanks for visiting. Best, Yvonne

Everything begins and ends with you!

Greetings! Back again with another project for the newest Photo Inkspiration Challenge over at Inkspirational Challenge.

Isn't it a cool photo? Wait until you see the projects that the rest of the Design Team dreamed up to inspire you.  We hope you will consider submitting a creation of your own!

Mine was quite simple.  I do not often create a card without stamping on it. I made an exception for this one.  I enjoyed adding all the Ranger Stickles to it, too.  Thanks for stopping by. Best, Yvonne

In the Depth of Winter

Greetings! It's time again for a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge.  This time, the theme is "Trees."  You will be absolutely astonished at the gorgeous design team makes.  I hope you will check them out.  For my own card, I used a stamp set by Artistic Output.  I decided to keep it very neutral and mostly black and white.  I tinted the cabin with a little red ink and added some Ranger Stickles for a snowy effect.

We hope you are inspired to create a stamped project of your very own to share with us.  One lucky participant will earn a Gift Voucher from our sponsor FlonzCraft.  Best wishes! Yvonne

A Garden and A Library

Greetings! Over the next few days, I will be sharing with you a number of cards that I made with new imagery over at Gecko Galz for March 2015.  For my first card, I worked with Victorian Spring Icons, Victorian Spring Paper Pack and In the Garden Collage Sheets, all released in March by Gecko Galz to create my card.  The sentiment is from Oxford Impressions.  A bit of Ranger Stickles for sparkle and a vintage seam binding bow complete my card.  Thanks for dropping by.  Best, Yvonne

Birthday Wishes

Greetings!  Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by my blog today.  I truly appreciate your visit and comments.  Today, I am sharing with you a card I made for the new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge.  Our theme this time is " to create a project that requires the use of a heat gun."

For my own project, a birthday card for my granddaughter, I began by spraying Spun Sugar Distress Spray Stain onto an 8 x 8 inch card base.  I used my heat gun to dry the ink before overspraying with Squeezed Lemonade Distress Spray Stain so that the colors did not change.  The images and sentiments were stamped onto scrap card with Ranger Archival Ink in Black and were heat set with my heat gun.  The images were water colored with Distress Markers and Ranger Liquid Pearls and Stickles were added.  A seam binding bow completes my card.  I hope you will stop over at FSC to see what the rest of the Design Team have created to inspire you and then consider submitting a piece of your own for a possible chance to win a gift card for $20 from our gracious sponsor, FlonzCraft.  Please remember we are a stamping challenge, so stamping needs to the focal point of your piece!

Thanks again for stopping by! Hugs, Yvonne

Let there be "Peace on Earth"

Greetings! A special thank you to my new followers! Today, I am sharing at tag for the latest challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge where the theme is to create "A Christmas Tag."  I normally make 8 x 8 inch cards, so making tags is a bit uncomfortable for me but I gave it a go and was happy I did.  I began by stenciling a starry background using a stencil  be Red Lead Paperworks and Distress Spray Stains in Bronze Metallic.  All the stamped images are also by Red Lead.  The bronze stars are by Retro Art Café and the burlap string is by May Arts.  The edges of the tag and the wings of the angels were shined up with Stickles.  I hope that you will stop over to see what the rest of the Design Team has dreamed up for you and then give the challenge a go for a possible chance to win a gift voucher worth $20 from our generous sponsor, Flonzcraft.  Thank you for stopping by today! Hugs, Yvonne

XXOXX, Remember, I Love You

Greetings!  It is bitter cold where I live, and where many of you live as well.  A quick card to share tonight that I made just because Valentines Day is coming soon.  I began by stamping various images by Finnabair by Prima with London Fog Memento Ink.  Next I layered pink and white paper doily hearts over the card base. The image and happy cat are by Gecko Galz and were glittered up with Ranger Stickles.  A few die cut butterflies and a button, a complimentary gift from the Funkie Junkie Boutique with an order, and some ChitChat Stickers, Pearl Gems, Glitter Hearts and a seam binding bow complete my card.  I hope wherever you are, you stay warm. Thanks so much for stopping by my blog.  Hugs, Yvonne

Winter's Garden

Greetings!  It is an Arctic Tundra where I live.  How about where you are?  I love this collection of images called Winters Garden: Perfect for our current weather conditions, and probably why I was drawn to these image when creating pieces for Gecko Galz recently. Just a bit of stamping this time, using snowflakes from Oxford Impressions.  I, instead, worked mostly with digital images that I printed, trimmed, and arranged on my card front.  The young woman climbing down a ladder tells a story for me.  She wants to get away from her mundane life and take a walk in the fresh air in the woods nearby, soaking up the beauty of nature.  A snippet of lace, pearl gems, and Stickles complete my card.  I am also entering my card over at Simon Says Monday Challenge where the current challenge is to make a project using "Blues."  Thanks so much for stopping by.

Celebrate

Merry Christmas!  It's Wednesday, and time for another Word Wednesday Challenge over at 365 Cards.  Our word this time is "Celebration."  I chose to work with the "Auld Lang Syne" plate of images from Artistic Outpost.  To add a bit of sparkle, the matting is gold metallic, the sparkly stars are by Tim Holtz, the dancer was dressed in Ranger Stickles and a final touch of gold embroidered stars on the ribbon.  I look forward to seeing what you come up with for your project!  I am also submitting my card to the December Referral Program at Artistic Outpost.  Hugs, Yvonne

To the Moon!

Hello!  It's Wednesday, and time for another Word Wednesday Challenge at 365 Cards where the word this week is "Space!" Our sponsor this week is DRS Designs and my image and sentiment are part of their fabulous collection.  I added a bit of Ranger Stickles to the main image and the heart punches by Martha Stewart are punched from dark red glitter card stock.  A bit of turquoise ribbon and my grandson's Valentine is ready to go.  I hope you will join us for your own take on the word "Space."  Best wishes, Yvonne

Yuletide Greetings!

Greetings!  Working on my Christmas Card Inventory with the latest Challenge over at 52 Christmas Card Throw Down. The challenge this week is a recipe:  Patterned Paper, Glitter, and we most decorate the inside of our card.  In retrospect, I see a Valentine's Day influence on my card! But truly, the patterned paper by Martha Stewart is a leftover piece of Christmas card stock.  The postage stamp image by Inkadinkado was stamped with Red StazOn Ink.   I found myself breaking up the pattern a bit with the paper doily and lace trim.  Vintage seam binding and buttons, and a few ChitChat stickers complete my card.  For glitter, I used Red Ranger Stickles.  A close up below, hopefully gives you a better feel for the glitter.

I used more of the same paper inside and decided to add more Stickles as well!
I am still plugging away to create a total of seven of each week's design to meet my card goal for Christmas.  Wish me luck!  Best, Yvonne

Walking in a Winter Wonderland

With the year quickly coming to a close, it is once again time at Fashionable Stamping Challenge for a new challenge. This time, the challenge is "To Die For."  We want to see your creations that include die cuts and/or punches and, of course, stamping!  For my creation, I chose this beautiful little girl with her teddy bear by Oxford Impressions.  After stamping and trimming her, I water colored her and mounted her to the card base with pop dots.  The snow flake border along the bottom is a die cut by Sissix for Tim Holtz.  The snow flakes are punches from Martha Stewart.  It is difficult to see, but all the snow elements and the little girl glisten with Ranger Stickles and Liquid Pearls.  As a finishing touch, I included tartan plaid twill ribbon.  I sure hope you will stop over to FSC to see what all my design team sisters have dreamed up.  Hoping you will join in as well for a possible prize if your creation is selected as the top winner.  Thanks for dropping by.  Yvonne

Frosty the Snowman

Hello!  It's hard too believe that it is already time for week three of Twelve Tags of Christmas Funkie Junkie Style over at The Funkie Junkie Blog.  Linda has created a beautiful tag to inspire us.  For my creation, I was inspired by the crackled snowman, the bow, the snowflakes  and the words "Joy" and "Frosty." The red card base was heat embossed with gold embossing powder for a snowflake background.  Not owning a snowman die, I thought I might create a snowman from punched circles.  The circles were painted with Picket Fence Crackle Paint and distressed with Pumice Stone Distress Ink.  The heart and hat were cut from white card stock free hand and coated with glitter glue.  I am excited about my new Sissix "On the Edge" Snowflake border die used along the bottom.  "Frosty" was spelled out with an alphabet stamp and a "Joy" was stamped from a much larger stamp from Stampington and Company. I wanted to give the snowman some arms, and decided to be inspired by the flourish on Linda's tag and add some chipboard swirls as arms. I decided to add a bow, again, inspired by Linda's tag.  As  a last step, Stardust Stickles were used over many of the card components to make them glisten.Very different from Linda's tag, though greatly inspired by it, indeed.  Linda also has a beautiful boutique called The Funkie Junkie Boutique where you can purchase really neat card making supplies at discounted prices. (My other two tag posts have been updated to include a mention of this as well.)  Why not take a moment and check out her beautiful offerings?  Thanks for dropping by.  Best wishes, Yvonne

Holly Jolly Christmas

Greetings!  I have been off line for a couple of days while I spent some quality time with my vacationing sister.  Need to do that more often!  Sharing a card today that I made for Week 2 of Linda Coughlin's (The Funkie Junkie)12 Tags of Christmas.  You may recall, we are not required to make a tag, so I am focusing on cards to meet my quota needed for Christmas Cards.  I must admit, Linda stunned me with her tag.  It is gorgeous and quite different.  You need to take a peek! While you at it, check out Linda's Funkie Junkie Boutique for great items at great prices.  I did attempt to find foil sheets locally, but alas there were none and so I went in a different direction.  As for what inspired me, her sentiment, the gears (I used a Tattered Angels Postage frame covered in Stickles as a substitute for a Geared Frame, Santa (Oxford Impressions) and snowflakes (also OI).  The jingle bell is a punch from Martha Stewart.  Love the new tartan plaid braided tape I found at a sewing factory store yesterday.  It is quite flat and should go through the mail nicely.  Thanks for dropping by today and I hope you will consider joining in Linda's challenge.  Lots of time left!  Best wishes, Yvonne

Bird Sanctuary

It's Friday and that means a new challenge over at Bloggers Challenge.  This week, Lisa challenges us to create a project with Fall Colors.  I must say, with the change in weather, I do find myself gravitating to autumnal colors!  My card was made with images by Stampington and company.  The images were water colored with Distress Markers and sparkled up a bit with Distress Stickles.  Simple embellishments include ribbon, copper Liquid Pearls and some paper leaves.  I hope everyone has a great weekend!  Best wishes, Yvonne
