You are....

Greetings! This post is for the new April challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu, where the theme is "Anything Goes." This theme always provides an opportunity to pull out a new set of stamps that you have been itching to use, but just hasn't lined up with a particular challenge theme.  I hope that you will pop over to see all the cool projects that the design team have dreamed up to share with you, and then consider sharing one of your own with us!

For my own card, I worked with a piece of mixed media paper that was included in an order of art supplies I recently received.  I was skeptical about how water color would work, but must say I was pleased with how well it held up.  The paper did wave a bit and I apologize for one spot on my card that is a bit lumpy! I chose to work with some rather new images from Paper Artsy. The background was done with Infusions, also by Paper Artsy.  If you are viewing this on the first of April, here's wishing you and your family a blessed Easter. Hugs, Yvonne

Come Fly with Me!

Greetings! Oh the weeks, they do spin so fast, don't they?!  It already time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational!  This time, we have a designer's choice, and the theme chosen was "mythical."

This one, I had to look up! It appears mythical, is anything make believe. You will note by the varied design team inspirational pieces that there are lots of ways to go on this challenge!

I am somewhat limited with my stamp choices, but in the end decided on mushrooms from Red Lead Paper Works and fairies from Rubber Moon. I used lots of sparkly Alchemy Acrylic Paints by Prima and a touch of sequins too.

I look forward to seeing what you create, and hope that you will stop over to look at all the other design team makes.  Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Yvonne

Spring has returned!

Greetings! I am back today with a new post. There's a new challenge that begins today over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge where the theme is "Springtime." I hope that you will top over to see all the inspired projects the design team has created to inspire you and that you will consider creating a project of your own to share with us.  Please remember that we are a stamp challenge, so stamping must be the focal point of your project. One lucky participant will win a free stamp image from our generous vendor Ink Art Designs.  A warm welcome to Hanne, who joins us as our next design team member.

For my own project, I used some very old images, which remain among my favorites, by Artistic Outpost, on a water color panel. The sentiment is one of Alison Bomber's for Paper Artsy. Thanks so much for stopping by. Hugs, Yvonne

A Work in Progress

Greetings! It's time once again for a new challenge over at Inkspirational. The theme this time is to create a project based on the word "Work."
Lots of ways to go with this challenge and I hope that you will pop on over to Inkspirational to see what the rest of the design team came up with to inspire you.  For my own piece, I began by applying Magicals to a water color panel.  I then inked up images by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous and added them over the background, which was then matted and layered to a card base. I hope that you will consider creating a project and sharing it with us at Inkspirational.  Thanks for stopping by. Best, Yvonne

Beautiful Spring

Greetings! Already, it is March and time for a new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu! This time, the challenge theme is "Anything Spring."

I gathered up a number of stamp images from Redlead Paperworks and water colored the background panel and stamp images. The sentiment is one of Alison Bomber's latest for Paper Artsy.  Love her collections of quotes!

I hope that you will stop over to see all the gorgeous samples created by the rest of the Design Team and then consider making one of your own to share with us.

Thanks for stopping by and for your kind comments.  They always brighten my day.  Hugs, Yvonne
