Winter Wonderland

Greetings! Thanks for stopping by my blog today.  I am here to share my design with you for the newest challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge where the theme is "Winter!"

I hope that you will pop on over to see what the rest of the design team have dreamed up to inspire you and that you in turn will create a project of your own to share with us.

My card is quite simple.  When I think of winter, I think of virgin snow. I love looking out over fields of untouched snow. I chose this stamp by Crafty Individuals stamped on water color paper and tinted ever so lightly with water colors. The background was created with a snowflake stamp by Oxford Impressions and sparkled up with Stickles.

One lucky participant will be selected to win a stamp image by our generous sponsor, Ink Art Designs. Please remember we are a stamp challenge and stamping most be the focal point of your project. Happy Stamping! Yvonne

Magic is Something You Make

Greetings! Another month rolls by and it is time for the new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge where the new theme is "Resist." I hope that you will stop over to FSC to see what the Design Team dreamed up to inspire you!

For my own creation, I stamped the focal image with Distress Paint in Picket Fence onto a water color panel. I blended various shades of Distress Inks over the water color panel and then gently wiped the ink off of the main focal image with a damp cloth to reveal the stamped image beneath. I splattered various acrylic paints and inks on the background, doodled around the edges of the focal image and the panel itself and stamped a sentiment on the panel. I grounded the image with washi tape. All stamps are by Dina Wakeley.

I hope that you will consider creating a piece to share with us at FSC. Remember we are a stamping challenge and your work most demonstrate that. One lucky participant will win a stamp image by our generous vendor Ink Art Designs. Best Wishes! Yvonne

Are You There?

Greetings! I have been away from blog land since early July and it sure does feel good to be back again. I have missed making art and participating in my Design Teams. I am happy to kick off my return with this post for the October Challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenges where the theme this month is "Book Pages" and we are asked to incorporate a book page into our project.  Having moved over the summer and my art studio still in storage, I was thrilled to be able to quickly access a piece of vintage book page in one of the first boxes I broke open.  The stamped image is by Lost Coast Design and the sentiment is by A Cat's Life Press.  I hope that you will stop over to FSC to see all the gorgeous makes by the Design Team and then consider creating a project of your own to share with us at FSC. Remember, as we are a stamping challenge, stamping most be the focal point of your project. And, as always, one lucky participant will be selected to win a stamp from our generous vendor, Ink Art Designs.  Best wishes! Yvonne

A Strong Woman

Greetings! It is time, once again, for a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge. The theme for July, selected by our leader, Shirley, is "Use Your Inks!" I hope that you will stop by to see all the beautiful samples that the Design Team created to inspire you and that you will consider creating a piece of your own to share with us.  Remember, one lucky participant will be selected to win a stamp image selected for them by our generous sponsor, Ink Art Designs! Just remember that we are a stamping challenge, so the focal point of your creation must include stamping!
For my own design, I began by spraying a water color panel with three different Distress Spray Inks. The focal image was stamped on scrap cardstock and then colored in with more ink using TomBow Markers and a water brush pen.
Thanks, as always, for dropping by. I truly value your support.  Best, Yvonne

Liberty and Freedom

Greetings! Its a new month and time for a new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu! The theme for July is "RED, WHITE and BLUE!"

I am in the process of moving, so my card is quite simply done. I sprayed the water color base with Festive Berries and Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink Sprays. I added clip art by Gecko Galz and a Tim Holtz Paper Doll, along with sentiments by Artistic Outpost. Some twine, ribbon and sequin stars complete my card.

We are excited to see what you dream up to share with us! Thanks for stopping by.  Hugs, Yvonne

The sea water was created with Magicals.  We hope that you will submit a piece of your own. One lucky participant will win a stamp image selected for them by our gracious sponsor, Ink Art Designs. The Future

Greetings! I'm back today with a new post for two design teams.  The first is for Inkspirational where the theme this time around is "Power." You will see by viewing all the design team inspiration pieces that there are lots of ways to go with power!

I chose to feature train locomotives, as they need a LOT of power to pull passengers and freight! What will you come up with for your own project? We look forward to seeing it!

My post is also for Eclectic Ellapu where the theme this time is "Anything Goes."

Thanks for dropping by! Best, Yvonne

It gave me a chance to use some products for the first time. The background is done with Dylusions Ink Sprays. The stamp image is by Prima and the gold around the edges is done with "WOW" powder. I hope that you will stop over to look at all the other cool cards by the rest of the design team and be inspired to create a card of your own to share with us! Mother's Day

Greetings! With Mother's Day soon upon us, it is fitting that the new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu is "Mother's Day!" For my own card, I pulled out this image by Pam Carriker for Stampington, as I found to be very nurturing. The quote is by Alison Bomber for Paper Artsy. The background stencil is by Tim Holt and the background panel was sprayed with Dylusions Ink. I hope that you will stop over to see what the rest of the design team have created to inspire you and we hope that you will consider sharing a creation of your own over at Eclectic Ellapu! Thanks for stopping by!

Come Play!

Greetings! It is time once again for a new challenge over at Inkspirational. This time we have a word prompt and the word is "Play!"

Lots of ways to interpret this one! Check out how each of the design team members approached their project and our guest designer, as well!

When I saw the word play, I immediately thought of this image by Lost Coast Design of a little girl playing with balls or bubbles. The background was done with Magicals on Mixed Media Paper and the dog is by Tim Holtz as are the letter tiles, for Idea-ology.

I hope that you will submit an inspired piece of your own for us to enjoy. Thanks so much for stopping by. Hugs, Yvonne

Rain Man

Greetings! A bit of a delay in posting the current challenge for Inkspirational! My post today is for the Photo Inkspiration Challenge shown below.

I was most excited about this challenge, as I love architecture and the umbrella man in the photo immediately made me think of an image I could use! The buildings, by Paper Artsy, were stamped onto scrap paper, trimmed and distressed with various shades of Distress Ink, Iced Spruce and Faded Jeans, as was the umbrella man by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous, and the card panel.  The rain drops are by Designs by Ryn and were stamped directly onto the distressed card panel. The other images were added and some Stickles were added to the rain drops. I hope that you will pop over to see all the other cool designs by the rest of the design team and then consider creating one of your own to share with us. Thanks for dropping by! Best, Yvonne

Farm Animals

Greetings! Back again with a new post for the latest challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenges where the theme this time is "Animals." Lots of ways to go with this one! I hope that you will stop over to see what the rest of the Design Team created to inspire you and then consider creating a project of your own to share with us.  Please remember that we are a stamping challenge so the focal images of your project must be stamped.  One lucky participant will receive a complimentary stamp image from our generous sponsor: Ink Art Designs.

For my project, I created an 8"x8" card using images from several sets by Oxford Impressions.  It was first time inking them up and I just love the detail and variety included.  The images were watercolored with TomBow Markers and I splattered Golden High Flow Acrylic Paint on the background. A milk cap by Tim Holtz for Idea-ology and some gingham ribbon by May Arts completes my card.  Thanks for stopping by and for your comments.  They mean a lot to me.  Sincerely, Yvonne

You are....

Greetings! This post is for the new April challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu, where the theme is "Anything Goes." This theme always provides an opportunity to pull out a new set of stamps that you have been itching to use, but just hasn't lined up with a particular challenge theme.  I hope that you will pop over to see all the cool projects that the design team have dreamed up to share with you, and then consider sharing one of your own with us!

For my own card, I worked with a piece of mixed media paper that was included in an order of art supplies I recently received.  I was skeptical about how water color would work, but must say I was pleased with how well it held up.  The paper did wave a bit and I apologize for one spot on my card that is a bit lumpy! I chose to work with some rather new images from Paper Artsy. The background was done with Infusions, also by Paper Artsy.  If you are viewing this on the first of April, here's wishing you and your family a blessed Easter. Hugs, Yvonne

Come Fly with Me!

Greetings! Oh the weeks, they do spin so fast, don't they?!  It already time for a new challenge over at Inkspirational!  This time, we have a designer's choice, and the theme chosen was "mythical."

This one, I had to look up! It appears mythical, is anything make believe. You will note by the varied design team inspirational pieces that there are lots of ways to go on this challenge!

I am somewhat limited with my stamp choices, but in the end decided on mushrooms from Red Lead Paper Works and fairies from Rubber Moon. I used lots of sparkly Alchemy Acrylic Paints by Prima and a touch of sequins too.

I look forward to seeing what you create, and hope that you will stop over to look at all the other design team makes.  Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Yvonne

Spring has returned!

Greetings! I am back today with a new post. There's a new challenge that begins today over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge where the theme is "Springtime." I hope that you will top over to see all the inspired projects the design team has created to inspire you and that you will consider creating a project of your own to share with us.  Please remember that we are a stamp challenge, so stamping must be the focal point of your project. One lucky participant will win a free stamp image from our generous vendor Ink Art Designs.  A warm welcome to Hanne, who joins us as our next design team member.

For my own project, I used some very old images, which remain among my favorites, by Artistic Outpost, on a water color panel. The sentiment is one of Alison Bomber's for Paper Artsy. Thanks so much for stopping by. Hugs, Yvonne

A Work in Progress

Greetings! It's time once again for a new challenge over at Inkspirational. The theme this time is to create a project based on the word "Work."
Lots of ways to go with this challenge and I hope that you will pop on over to Inkspirational to see what the rest of the design team came up with to inspire you.  For my own piece, I began by applying Magicals to a water color panel.  I then inked up images by Tim Holtz for Stampers Anonymous and added them over the background, which was then matted and layered to a card base. I hope that you will consider creating a project and sharing it with us at Inkspirational.  Thanks for stopping by. Best, Yvonne

Greetings! Already, it is March and time for a new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu! This time, the challenge theme is "Anything Spring."

I gathered up a number of stamp images from Redlead Paperworks and water colored the background panel and stamp images. The sentiment is one of Alison Bomber's latest for Paper Artsy.  Love her collections of quotes!

I hope that you will stop over to see all the gorgeous samples created by the rest of the Design Team and then consider making one of your own to share with us.

My project began with a variety of Distress Ink Oxide Pads layered onto a watercolor panel.  The images and sentiments are by Dina Wakeley. A bit of black embossing paste through a stencil and some white paint splattered across my card complete my design.

In the bleak mid-winter

Greetings! I've had a late start getting back into the challenges, for 2018, as a Design Team member at Inkspirational due to family circumstances. It's good to back!

For our latest challenge, our theme is to make an "Aperture Card." For my own card, I chose to work with a number of die cuts by Tim Holtz for Sizzex. To make the die cuts pop, I added a water color effect behind them. The sentiment is by Alsion Bomber for Paper Artsy. I hope that you will stop over to Inkspirational to see what the design team has created to inspire you and then consider creating a project of your own to share with us.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hugs, Yvonne

Love, Love, Love

Greetings one and all. After a short break, Eclectic Ellapu is back with the first challenge for 2018, and it is "Anything Goes!"

I hope that you will stop over to see all the unique projects that were created and then consider creating one of your own to share with us!

For my piece, I began with a new to me stamp by Stampers Anonymous, one of the blue print stamps by Tim Holtz. The sentiment is also one of Tim's for Stampers Anonymous.  Love that saying.

After stamping the image onto water color paper, I added Magicals and collaged polka dotted tissue paper, followed by some stenciling with texture paste using a TCW stencil.  Other stamps used are by NStudios, for Rubbermoon Stamps and the scribble heart is by Sissix.

I am just back in the art studio after a lengthy break due to family obligations and the holidays. It feels good to get inky again.  How are all of you doing?  Would love to hear from you.  Hugs, Yvonne

Animal Instinct

Greetings! It is time once again for a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping! The theme for January is "Anything Goes."

I hope you will pop over to FSC to see all the great inspiration pieces by the Design Team and then consider submitting a project of your own. Please remember that we are a stamp challenge, so the focal point of your project is stamping! And of course, one lucky participant will win a stamp image from our generous sponsor Ink Art Designs.

For my own sample, I created a card beginning with a water color panel where I added Magicals. I then stamped with Aall and Create images and water colored them in with TomBow Markers and finished with some sentiments by Aall and Create and That's Crafty.

We look forward to seeing your creations!  Hugs, Yvonne
