Graffiti

Greetings! The weeks roll by and already it is time for another challenge over at Inkspirational.  The theme this time is Graffiti Art! I had to look that one up on the Internet! Fortunately for you, the design team while give you lots of examples to inspire you!

For my own car, I began by stamping this cute little guy by Paper Artsy onto a water color panel.  I dropped several colors of Dr. PH Martin Inks onto the panel and then blew them around! The sentiments by Unity were stamped on scrap card stock and adhered to the panel. The panel was matted and adhered to a card base.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with for your project!  Thanks for stopping by! Best, Yvonne

Serendipity

Greetings! Time once again for another challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu! The Pink Team selected "Florals" for their theme. I hope you will stop over and check out all the beautiful projects and be inspired to create one of your own to share with us.

Mine began with a water color panel. I laid a Stencil Girl Stencil on the panel and sprayed Sunshine Yellow and Pink Bubblegum Dylusions Ink Sprays through the stencil.  I picked up the stencil, turned it over and smooshed it around the rest of the panel to use up the excess in and fill in the panel.  The image and sentiment from Tim Holtz for Stampendous were stamped on scrap card, trimmed and water colored and added to the panel. The panel was matted and added to a card base. Thanks so much for stopping by.  Your visits and comments make my days! Best, Yvonne

I am Woman, Hear me Roar!

Greetings and thanks for dropping by.  Sharing a canvas I finished recently.  I was in my art room perusing my stamps and decided to ink up these beauties by Dina Wakley for the first time. My eyes fell on these sentiments by Unity Stamps and I was ready to go. After gessoing my canvas, I added a number of Gelatos to the canvas.  Using my finger dipped in water I blended the colors.  I decided to mute the colors by adding a wash of gesso and water to the canvas.  The large circles are a stencil from Stencil Girl, colored with more Gelatos.  Additional marks were added with Titanium White Golden Fluid Acrylics and Ranger Archival Ink using more Dina Wakley stamps.  The drips and blobs of Aqua Ink are by Dr. PH Martin. The women were colored in with Gelatos and the sentiments and woman were all shaded with a Stabilo Pencil.  Thanks for your continued support.  Hugs, Yvonne

Time Flies

Hello! My post today is for a new to me challenge called the Love to Create Challenge where the theme is " Anything Creative/Mixed Media Challenge."  My friend, Tracy Evans, inspired me to join in with her beautiful card, which you can see here.  Tracy's post encouraged me to get out my Pan Pastels and use them in a mixed media project.  I began by adding pink, yellow and blue hues of PPs to my card base.  I next stenciled with Worn Lipstick through a Tim Hotlz stencil. Then I splattered Black Dr. PH Martins India Ink.  Washi tape came next.  The focal image by Deep Red Rubber Stamps was stamped with Archival Ink.  The sentiment was a complimentary stamp from Art Journey Stamps. The stamped images were matted with black paper and splattered with water colors. I decided to tuck a bit of yellow lace and add some buttons and a bit of seam binding in homage to these beautiful old souls.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Hugs, Yvonne

A Forgotten Old Favorite

Greetings dear friends.  So lovely of you to stop by today.  Today I am sharing with you a card I made for the new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge.  Our theme this time around is to create a project using one of your favorite stamp images that you have not used, or have forgotten for some time.  I am always excited to see what my design team sisters share and know you will be delighted too, so please take a peek over at FSC and then dig through your own stamps and share a project with us.  Remember, we are a stamping challenge, so stamping must be your focal point.  Flonzcraft, our generous sponsor is providing a $20 gift voucher to one randomly drawn participant.

For my own card, I began with a hot press water color panel, to which I applied Dylusions Ink Sprays in various colors and then pounced a water color brush dipped in water to blend the colors slightly. I splattered several shades of Dr. PH Martins India Ink on the panel next.  Dina Wakely and Unity Stamps were dipped in acrylic paints and added to the panel. The focal image, by Art Declassified, sadly now defunct, was one of my "go to" images for years.  It is stamped in Midnight Blue Archival Ink.  The sentiment by Dylusions was stamped with Archival Ink, as well, trimmed and mounted to the panel. Some photo corners and a bit of baker's twine complete my card.

Thanks again for dropping by.  Looking forward to seeing your project! Hugs, Yvonne

Crazy Birds

Greetings! It is time for a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge.  The theme is "things with wings!" I made this card for my sister-in-law, and unfortunately did not realize that there was a shadow on the photo until I was posting the picture and the card is already in the mail!  I hope you will pop over to FSC and see the inspiring pieces that the design team have put together for you and then consider sharing a piece of your own with us.  Just remember that we are a stamping challenge! As always, Flonzcraft is our generous sponsor and one lucky participant will win a gift voucher for $20! For my own card, I began by spritzing Dylusions Ink Sprays onto Hot Press water color paper.  I added bits of washi tape next. Then I flicked some Titanium Golden Acrylic Paint onto the panel and added Black Dr. PH Martins India Ink.  I decided to blow on the drops and really liked the wonky effect I got.  The birds by Tim Holtz were stamped on scrap water color paper as well. They were then colored with TowBow Markers, trimmed and adhered onto the prepared panel.  The sentiment by Unity Stamps was stamped onto scrap as well, trimmed, dotted with black ink and added to the prepared card front.  Bakers twine completes my card.  Thank you so much for dropping by!

What if I Fall?

Greetings! Back with another card this evening for the current challenge over at Our Creative Corner.  I thought I had posted a card earlier, but in looking through Mr. Linky, it appears not!  The challenge, Color Your World, is to create a project using colors that remind us of spring.  I began by sprinkling Brusho Crystals that remind me of spring onto water color paper and spritzing with water.  The house and tree by Artistic Outpost in the background were stamped with Black Archival Ink onto tissue paper and adhered to the panel.  The bird by Red Lead Paperworks was stamped directly onto the water color panel and colored in lightly with Towbow Markers.  The little girl and sentiment are clip art imagery by Gecko Galz.  A bit of washi tape by 3M and Black Ink by Dr. PH Martin dropped on the card panel complete my card.  Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Yvonne

For Beautiful Eyes

Greetings and thank you for stopping by! It is time, once again, for a new challenge over at Inkspirational.   This time a colour challenge:  Neon!  Loads of inspiration by the Design Team for you to check out over at Inkspirational!

For my own card, I stenciled the background using a TowBow Marker.  The focal image and sentiment by Stamping Bella were stamped on scrap card, colored with more TowBow Markers and attached to the card front.  The washi tape is by Scarlet Lime. The splats of black ink are from Dr. PH Martin's Bombay Ink.  I hope you will submit a project of your own.  We'd love to see it.

Thanks for stopping by. Hugs, Yvonne

Wonder and Think

Greetings!  It is so lovely of you to drop by my blog today.  My post today is for the newest challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge where the theme, picked by me, is to create a project using your "Favorite 'Go To' Stamp."  I took a sneak peek at what my Design Team Sisters created and I know you will be absolutely delighted and inspired to pick you own favorite stamp and share with FSC for a chance to win a gift voucher worth $20 from our ever generous sponsor FlonzCraft.  For my own card, the choice was easy.  This boy and girl and sentiment from Artistic Outpost have been in my collection for a long time.  I never grow tired of these images.  For my card today, I decided to see how they would work in a mixed media setting, as I generally go very vintage with them.  Dylusions Ink sprays, washi tape, repurposed designer paper and Dr. PH Martin's Bombay Ink complete my card.  Thanks so much for stopping by.  Cannot wait to see your favorite stamp!  Hugs, Yvonne

Have Faith

Greetings!  Back with another card I made with the new imagery for March 2015 from Gecko Galz.  When I saw this Victorian Spring Stamp I just loved it.  At first I planned to color it in, but I really liked it in black and white so I decided to emphasize black and white instead with just a hint of soft color in the background using Victorian Spring Paper.  The sentiment is by Red Lead Paperworks and I added washi tape, Dr. PH Martins India Ink drops, and used Golden High Flow paint in Titanium White.  Thank so much for stopping by.  I hope you take a look at all of the wonderful new images over at Gecko Galz.  Best, Yvonne

Strong Women

Greetings and thank you for dropping by my blog today.  I found myself not entering challenges after joining a number of Design Teams and after my husband had a major stroke last year.  It occurred to me recently that I might like to try my hand at it again.  I popped over to one of my all time favorite challenges, Our Creative Corner, and found a Tic Tac Toe Challenge going on.  I chose "Paint, Stamps and Stencils" as my challenge.  I began with a piece of watercolor paper, which I misted with water and then added several colors of Dylusions Spray Inks.  When dry I sprayed more water onto the panel.  I stenciled with a Tim Holtz Stencil and Wendy Vecchi Black Embossing Paste.  I splattered Dr. Ph Martin's Black ink on the panel and then splatted Goldens High Flow Acrylic Paint in white and allowed the larger drops to drip.  The flower is by Donna Downey and colored with TowBow Markers.  The images and sentiment are by Dina Wakely.  I would also like to submit my card for the Drips and Drops Challenge over at the Country View Crafts.  Thanks for stopping by. Yvonne
