Can Spring Be Far Away?

Greetings and thank you for popping over to my blog today! My post today is for a Design Team project over at Eclectic Ellapu where the Pink Team's theme is "Anything Goes!"  What to do, what to do?  I decided to ink up some new to me images from Oxford Impressions.  As I created my card, I realized that a story was emerging, one of the beginnings of spring  The bits of green in the background, the cherry blossom washi tape, the little lamb and the children still in their winter coats!  I think many of us are ready for spring after a long, hard winter!  The card panel was water colored with green and blue water colors from my new Kuretake Water Color set.  The buttons are from Red Lead Paperworks, and the washi tape is from Retro Art CafĂ©.  I hope you will check out the rest of the inspiring projects by the Pink Team and then consider loading up a project of your own!  Thanks for stopping by.  Best, Yvonne

Sweet Chocolate Cupcake

The weeks fly by so fast!  It is time for a new challenge over at Inkspiration and this time its all about "Sprinkles."  What do you think of when you are prompted by this word?  We would love to see your own interpretation.  I hope you will stop over to see what the rest of the talented Design Team have cooked up for you.  For my own card, I first was going to do something with rain drops, but in the end I was drawn to these gorgeous images by Oxford Impressions.  On a watercolor paper panel, I spritzed it with several shades of Dylusions Ink Sprays.  The background stamping is done with images from Oxford Impressions, as are the focal image and sentiment, which were stamped onto scrap card and water colored with Towbow Markers.

Freedom!

Greetings!  It is hard to believe that it is already time for another challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge!  This time around, our theme is to "Color in between the lines" and we are stamp and color in with whatever medium we like." Remember we are a stamping challenge, so stamping needs to be the focus of your project! For my own card, I began by spraying Dylusion Ink Sprays over a Plaid Stencil multiple times.  My focal image is by Christy Tomlinson for Unity Stamps and was stamped onto scrap card stock with Black Archival Ink and colored in with TowBow Markers.  The butterflies and sentiment are by Finnabair for Prima Marketing.  I hope you will stop over to FSC to see what the rest of the Design Team has made to inspire you and then share with us a piece of your own.  Remember, one lucky participant will win a $20 gift voucher from our sponsors at FlonzCraft! Thanks for dropping by! Yvonne

The Heart Did Whisper

Greetings! It's time again for another challenge over at Inkspiration!  This time we have a photo challenge.  Isn't it a gorgeous photo?  I decided to try to try to replicate the photo as best I could.  I began with black paper and sprayed White Linen Dylusions Spray ink over a Crafters Workshop Stencil. The women and sentiment are from Oxford Impressions.  I hope you stop over to Inkspiration to see what else the Design Team have dreamed up for you and then submit a creation of your own.  Thanks for stopping by! Best, Yvonne

Strong Women

Greetings and thank you for dropping by my blog today.  I found myself not entering challenges after joining a number of Design Teams and after my husband had a major stroke last year.  It occurred to me recently that I might like to try my hand at it again.  I popped over to one of my all time favorite challenges, Our Creative Corner, and found a Tic Tac Toe Challenge going on.  I chose "Paint, Stamps and Stencils" as my challenge.  I began with a piece of watercolor paper, which I misted with water and then added several colors of Dylusions Spray Inks.  When dry I sprayed more water onto the panel.  I stenciled with a Tim Holtz Stencil and Wendy Vecchi Black Embossing Paste.  I splattered Dr. Ph Martin's Black ink on the panel and then splatted Goldens High Flow Acrylic Paint in white and allowed the larger drops to drip.  The flower is by Donna Downey and colored with TowBow Markers.  The images and sentiment are by Dina Wakely.  I would also like to submit my card for the Drips and Drops Challenge over at the Country View Crafts.  Thanks for stopping by. We'll Always Have Paris

Hello!  Back again, with another card created using digital imagery from the February release over at Gecko Galz.  I used one of the papers from the Parisian Dreams Paper Pack and the focal image is from the Pretty Victorians Collections.  The stamped images are from Oxford Impressions: Mr. Darcy stamp set.  The paper doily and seam binding bow are from my stash.

Valentine Primer

Greetings!  The weeks roll around, and already it is time for a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge!  This time, the theme is to create a project with Black and White and just a pop of Red.  Since we are so close to Valentine's Day, I decided to ink up this adorable stamp by Red Led Paperworks for the first time.  The edges were distressed with Festive Berries Distress Ink and the panel was added to a white paper heart and mounted onto the card front over black and red matting. Pearl gems and a simple repurposed seam binding bow complete my card.  You will be inspired at the beautiful samples created by the rest of the Design Team and we sure hope you will create and post a project of your own.  One lucky participant will win a $20 gift voucher from our generous sponsor FlonzCraft.  Please remember, we are a stamping challenge, so we do need to see stamping as the focal point of your project.  Thanks for stopping by!

Classy and Fabulous

Greetings!  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  I want to share with you a card I made recently using some of the new releases by Gecko Galz for the month of February.  I just love this new collection of images and background papers from the Coquette Digital Crafting Kit.  The corners were stamped with Black Archival Ink using an Oxford Impressions image.  The paper hearts are from Martha Stewart and the paper doily and seam binding bow are from my stash.  Thanks for stopping by today! Hugs, Yvonne
