A Forgotten Old Favorite

 

Greetings dear friends.  So lovely of you to stop by today.  Today I am sharing with you a card I made for the new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge.  Our theme this time around is to create a project using one of your favorite stamp images that you have not used, or have forgotten for some time.  I am always excited to see what my design team sisters share and know you will be delighted too, so please take a peek over at FSC and then dig through your own stamps and share a project with us.  Remember, we are a stamping challenge, so stamping must be your focal point.  Flonzcraft, our generous sponsor is providing a $20 gift voucher to one randomly drawn participant.

 

For my own card, I began with a hot press water color panel, to which I applied Dylusions Ink Sprays in various colors and then pounced a water color brush dipped in water to blend the colors slightly. I splattered several shades of Dr. PH Martins India Ink on the panel next.  Dina Wakely and Unity Stamps were dipped in acrylic paints and added to the panel. The focal image, by Art Declassified, sadly now defunct, was one of my "go to" images for years.  It is stamped in Midnight Blue Archival Ink.  The sentiment by Dylusions was stamped with Archival Ink, as well, trimmed and mounted to the panel. Some photo corners and a bit of baker's twine complete my card.

Thin Ice...

 

Greetings! My post today is to showcase a card I made for the new challenge over at Simon Says Wednesday Challenge where the theme is "Make Your Own Background."  To create the background, I used a water color panel and sprinkled Brusho Crystals on it and then sprayed with water.  When it was dry I added the washi tape by Scarlet Lime, some dots from a stamp by Dina Wakely dipped in Silks Acrylic Paint and then doodled around the perimeter with a black pen. The image is from FlonzCraft and the sentiment is by Dylusions.  Thanks for stopping by! Once Upon A Time

Greetings! It is hard to believe another fortnight has passed and already it is time for a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge!  This time, the theme is to create a project with either a Mask or Stencil.  I hope you pop over to FSC to see what the rest of the Design Team have created to inspire you to create one of your own.  For my own project, I decided to work on a canvas rather than a card, which is where my comfort zone truly resides.  I recently purchased Gelatos and have been wanting to work more with them. I found a video online that shows laying Gelatos onto a Gessoed Canvas and then brushing Gesso over top of the bright colors to provide a creamy background. Next I used several Tim Holtz Stencils and Distress Inks to layer onto the canvas.  The rays at the top needed something so I cut out a yellow sun from fabric and adhered it to the corner and added some faux stitching.  The fun houses are by Francoise Papillon for Stampotique.  After stamping the first one, using a mask, I stamped another next to it.  The houses were water colored with Distress Markers.  The Mushrooms and Grasses at the bottom of the canvas are by Dylusions.  The children and kite are stencils by Andy Skinner.  The kite was embossed with Black Embossing Paste by Wendy Vecchi.  Buttons, twine, and chip board complete my card.  As always, FlonzCraft is our generous sponsor and one lucky winner will receive a gift voucher for $20. Flower Power

This is my second attempt at a journal page.  This time, my post is for a challenge called "Flowers" over at Stampotique Designer Challenge.  I began by spraying orange, yellow and red Dylusions Ink Sprays onto my journal page.  The page was stenciled and stamped with more Dylusions stencils and stamp images.  Various quotes referencing flowers were added by hand with a black ink pen.  Thanks so much for dropping by today.  Yvonne
