Dance Ballerina Dance

One of my favorite Challenge Sites is Frilly and Funkie. They not only challenge you bi-weekly, they cater to all sorts of styles by focusing on Frilly one week and Funkie the next within the same challenge.  They feature tutorials that offer a wealth of knowledge and outstanding designers and the owner, Linda Coughlin, is very generous with prizes.  I had not had an opportunity to play along much last year, but am hoping that 2013 brings more opportunity to do so.  For their first challenge of the new year, we are asked to Follow our Muse.  That certainly means different things to different people!  I decided to start with an image I really liked and really focus on creating a card that touched my heart and hopefully the eventual recipient.  The main image is by Gecko Galz.  The sentiment is by Art Declassified.  Part of my Muse is a love of recycled, often vintage, buttons, lace and vintage paper.  Thanks so much for dropping by.  Best wishes, Yvonne

Hello Yvonne,
I agree with you regarding the frilly and funky challenge blog, I always become inspired when I see the work that is put up over there.
You have chosen a delightful image, and set it amongst wonderful elements, in the shabby chic style, and it has come together beautifully.
Smiles :-)
Sue

This is a wonderful postcard, Yvonne.
You asked about the stamp on the first page of my tag book. It is the station. Please have a look

Wow I love this design Yvonne-all the frills and lace, just dreamy! I haven't heard of this challenge, not sure the frilly would suit me but will check it out as perhaps the funky week I could do something!

Very beautiful card Yvonne - fantastically laid out. Every element is positioned so perfectly. You have a way with buttons - they look wonderful. Nicola x

Hello Yvonne, This is a lovely card! I especially like how the lacy white background sets of the ballerina image! She's beautiful! And the sentiment is perfect! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Frilly and Funkie!
