A New Medium For Me!
Hello, I am sharing a tag with you that I created with a new to me medium, water soluble oil pastels. I recently was looking at the PaperArtsy Blog and a post by Helen Chilton about working with oil pastels. I knew immediately that I had to give them a go. I just picked the pastels up this afternoon and could not wait to crack open the box when I got home. I truly need to study up on working with them, but I am reasonably happy with my initial try. The focal image is by Gecko Galz. Stencil by Dyan Reaveley. If anyone knows of any good videos or blog posts, I would love to hear from you. Best wishes, Yvonne

Stunning work Yvonne, so zesty and it shows off the central image beautifully, I have some water soluble neo pastels and have only used them once, so I will have to look them out now I've seen your tag, too much stash and too little time that's me LOL! XX

Hi Yvonne, your background with the oil pastels is fantastic - the bright colours are lovely. These are something which I have never used, but I love the result you've achieved.
I know the Craft Barn blog did a week's focus on oil pastels but it was with regular ones I think, not water soluble ones, so I'm thinking it would not be of any use to you, but the link from where it starts is below so you could have a look?
