Imagine

Greetings! It is time for a new challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu, and this time the theme is "Anything Goes!" It's an opportunity to pull out one of your uninked stamps and get inky!

For my own project, I colorized a water color background panel a variety of Distress Oxides and a new to me stencil by Donna Downey. The images on the background and the focal images are from a set by Katzelkraft Stamps. The focal images were stamped multiple times with different inks and pieced together to add a bit of color.

I hope that you will pop on over to see what the rest of the Design Team have dreamed up for you and then create a piece of your own to share with us.  Thanks for stopping by. Yvonne

Go Wild!

Greetings! Thank you, as always, for dropping by my blog! A huge thank you to my latest followers, as well.  My post today is for the newest challenge over at Inkspirational where we have the word prompt "Wild" this time around.
For my own card, I decided to create a card using these precious wild life images and sentiments from Crafty Individuals. The base of the card is a water color panel colorized with Bister Crystals.  The large jungle-like leaf is by Donna Downey for Unity Stamps.

I know you will be as impressed as I was at the variety of designs the talented Design Team created for your inkspiration.  We look forward to seeing what you come up with too! Hugs, Yvonne

Know Who You Are

Greetings! My post today is for the current challenge over at Frilly and Funkie where the theme is "Happy, Happy, Happy." Anything goes, just make a project that makes you "happy."  Recently, I have really been enjoying learning more about mixed media card making and also about "She Art."  I love the strong, powerful, uplifting sentiments and images available to encourage women in life.  I also love splattering paint and ink and dripping paint!  And so, my card above made me happy making it! The background was done with Dylusions Ink Sprays, the sentiment is by Donna Downey for Unity Stamps and the focal image is by Dina Wakely.  Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs, Yvonne

Making a Place Beautiful

Greetings! So good of you to drop by! Sharing a card with you today that I made for my oldest daughter's birthday. Her favorite color is turquoise so I chose that for the focal image, which is by Donna Downey. The other images are by Dina Wakely. I used Silks Acrylic Paints and Ranger Archival Ink. I had a lot of fun with this one!  Hugs, Yvonne

Honor Your Heart

Greetings and thank you for stopping by! My post today is for the new challenge over at Inkspirational.  This time around, our challenge is to create a project using "She Art" or if you prefer, a feminine figure.  "She Art" to me represents designs that feature women and sentiments that are meant to encourage or empower us.  I am not sure how long "She Art" has been around, but I have begun to notice more and more of it in the past several years and am really drawn to it for some reason.  For my own card, I began by misting the card base with several shades of Dylusions Ink Sprays.  The focal image and sentiments are from Donna Downey and were colored in with Towbow Markers.  I hope you will pop over to see what the rest of the Design Team have cooked up to inspire you and then submit one of your own designs!  Hugs, Yvonne

Who She had Always Been

Thank you, as always, for stopping by my blog today!  I especially want to thank each of you who have encouraged me through your warm, heartfelt comments concerning this passage of life my husband and I are experiencing.  We were in the emergency room again all day yesterday, but so happy to be back home today!  My card above is for the new challenge for the Pink Team over at Eclectic Ellapu for November. Our challenge is to create a project using our favorite color scheme.  I hope you will pop on over and see what each of the design team members dreamed up to inspire you! Oh to pick my favorite color scheme!  I confess, I just could not do it.  My card above was created with soothing Vintage Photo Distress Ink and warming Worn Lipstick Distress Ink.  I love these colors together, but refuse to commit to them being my absolute favorite!  Speaking of favorites, this newly inked up image by Donna Downey for Unity Stamps is at the top of my list, as are the sentiments included with the stamp!  The stenciling was done with Tim Holtz Stencils and the butterfly clusters, which were stamped repeatedly, are by Hampton Arts.  The lace and bit of ribbon were laying on my work table and the buttons are from my stash.  We cannot wait to see what you create!  Thanks for stopping by! Hugs, Yvonne
