Your Heart and My Heart
Greetings! My card today is for the May 2016 Challenge over at Eclectic Ellapu where our theme is "Anything Goes." I hope you will consider joining in the fun by submitting a card of your own. For my card, I began by dropping Bister Crystals onto water color paper and spritzing with water. After it dried, I stamped this gorgeous stamp by Technique Tuesday onto tissue paper and then adhered it to the water color panel. I added soft colors with TowBow Markers. Off to the side, I tore up scrap water color papers and old book text and added it to the panel along with string, cheese cloth and a few buttons. The panel was matted and added to a card blank. The finished size is 8" x 8".
On a Personal Note:
It is hard to believe it has been five months since I last posted to my blog. As some of you know, my husband has been battling cancer for nearly 13 years. We had a rather sudden crises that has taken months to work through, and he is more frail and weak than ever, but improved from when it all began. I apologize for not posting an update sooner, but felt I owed all of you some sort of an explanation. Suffice it to say, I am ecstatic to be back and dabbling in my art studio again!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for stopping by and for your welcome comments. Its good to be back! Best, Yvonne

It is great to have you back. I am sorry you have had to break for such awful reasons and pleased things are slightly better. Wonderful to see your collage cards again, my love, Sandie xx
First of all, let me say how pleased I am that your situation is slightly better than it has been over the last five months and I wish you and your husband all the very best through this difficult time. I think this card is absolutely wonderful Yvonne and it's right up my street. I love the image and the way that you've just picked up a small amount of colour. The sentiment is wonderful and the layout is just perfect, I love it :) X
I'm so glad to see you blogging again! I just love your style and for your sake, hope you find time to create as it can be so therapeutic. Best wishes for your husband's continued improvement.
I am glad that it sounds you have reached a plateau in the emotional roller coaster that is cancer. I hope you find joy being back in the craft world!
Your card here is wonderful! Beautiful color addition to the girls and the layered embellishment is a great touch.
