Butterflies and Lace

Welcome to the newest challenge at Fashionable Stamping Challenge! For the next two weeks, we are seeking submissions of projects that include heat or dry embossing. For my card, I began with a blue-violet card base. White card stock was dry embossed with a Tim Holtz embossing folder. I had some difficulty initially figuring out how to incorporate imagery inside the embossed frame, but things seem to come together when I added the quote above by Helen Keller from the Quote and Quotables plate by Artistic Outpost and some butterflies from the AO Flower Market plate. The butterflies were watercolored with Broken China, Old Paper and Milled Lavender Distress Inks and sparkled up with some Milled Lavender Distress Stickles. The beautiful paper doily border can be purchased at the Funkie Junkie's Boutique. A few pearl embellishments and some Winter White seambinding complete my card.
