Over the Rainbow
Happy Tuesday everyone! This is a short post for the current challenge over at Tuesday Alchemy, where this time around the theme is Anything Goes. My granddaughter was in a talent show this past weekend and sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." Even though I had a card to give her afterwards, once I saw what she was singing, I just had to rush home and make her a more suitable card to celebrate her accomplishment. I cannot even begin to imagine to singing all the choruses of this song in front of an auditorium of approximately 1000 people. The image and sentiment are from The Stampsmith. I decided to watercolor Dorothy with Distress Markers to accentuate her. Rather than a yellow brick road this time, I die cut some yellow card stock. The gingham panel reminded me of Dorothy's dress in the movie. Thanks so much for dropping by today. A huge shout out to my recent new followers. I cannot seem to find my way to contact you directly, but I truly appreciate your support. I hope everyone is having a good day. Hugs, Yvonne

Hope is the Thing with Feathers
There's a new challenge over at Tuesday Alchemy. The random word selector has chosen three words: Bath, Duct Tape and Sparrow to work from. Although I generally attempt to create a card with all three words, I elected to just go with the sparrow this time. I chose stamps by TPC Studio for my card, inked them with Black StazOn ink and stamped them onto Specialty Paper before trimming them and lightly water coloring them with Pumice Stone and Brick Red Distress Markers. Simple embellishments include a scrap of lace, a vintage button, red burlap string, vintage page scraps, torn scrap of handmade paper, cheesecloth, and an embossed photo corner. Thanks for dropping by. I hope you are having a great day. Best wishes, Yvonne

C'est Magnifique!
Hello! Sharing a card today for the current challenge over at Make My Monday. This week, the theme is French Vintage. I chose to work with the Paris Exposition plate of images from Artistic Outpost. Script from The Outpost plate, also by AO, was stamped onto the Kraft panel in London Fog Memento Ink. The panel was distressed heavily with Vintage Photo Distress Ink, as were the images. A portion of a textbook page, in French, was added to the prepared panel. Ribbon, also distressed with DI and black burlap string were tied around the panel. An Idea-ology bird charm, an epoxy crown sticker and some black Liquid Pearls complete my card. I am also submitting this card to Tuesday Alchemy where this week's challenge is Anything Goes and to the October Artistic Outpost Referral Program. Thanks so much for dropping by and for all your encouraging comments. Best wishes, Yvonne

Bee Mine!
Greetings! My card today is for several challenges. The first is for Challenge #183 over at 365 Cards where we are asked to create a card based on the colors above. The card is also for a new challenge I learned about called Tuesday Alchemy where the challenge is to create a project inspired by the words "Bee," "Guitar," and "Lunch." The images are from Art Declassified, except for the bees and sentiment, which are from Character Construction. Distress Inks and Black StazOn Ink were used. Simple embellishments include Copper Liquid Pearls and vintage seam binding. Thanks so much for dropping by. Best, Yvonne
