Tis Harvest Time

Greetings!  It is Wednesday and time for another Word Wednesday Card over at 365 Cards.  This week, our word is "Harvest." Our sponsor this week is DRS Designs.  The beautiful digis, the shock of wheat and the sentiment are by DRS Designs and were printed onto canvas paper, trimmed and water colored with Distress Ink.  The background was done with Distress Paints and the focal image is by Gecko Galz.

Happiness is Like a Butterfly...

Greetings! Another Wednesday Post for the newest challenge over at Inkspirational where this week we are creating projects based on the Photo Inkspiration below:

As I looked at this beautiful photo, I decided that I would create a card around nature, and include butterflies.  I found a piece of beautiful paper from Crafty Individuals with flowers and birds.  It is difficult to see, but I added Mustard Seed Distress Glitter to the center of many of the flowers.  The paper was matted several times and added to the card base.  The beautiful sentiment by DRS Designs quotes Thoreau and is filled with wisdom.  A compimentary image by Crafty Individuals was inked with a Stormy Sky Distress Marker (first time using this marker and I was very surprised at the color as the cap looked more bluish), stamped three times and trimmed and mounted to the card front.  Vintage seam binding tied into a bow and some Copper Liquid Pearls completes my card.  Our sponsor this month is Inspired by Stamping and one lucky winner who participates in all of the September Challenges at Inkspirational will win a $20 gift card.  Please check out Inkspirational for more inkspiration from the Design Team! Happiness is Like a Butterfly

Greetings! It is Wednesday and time for another Word Wednesday Challenge over at 365 Cards.  Our word this week is "Butterfly." This week our sponsor is DRS Designs.  I selected this beautiful focal image and sentiment from DRS Designs.  The focal image was stamped with Gelatos and edged lightly with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink.  I painted the edge of a piece of white card stock with Gelatos and water to mat the focal image.  The single butterfly is a portion of the same stamp, and was stamped on a wood charm that was inked with Squeezed Lemonade DI and distressed with Mowed Lawn DI. Gelatos were rubbed randomly to create polka dots on the card base and a touch of green was added with a Wendy Vecchi stencil. A bit of green seam binding and some yellow Liquid Pearls complete my card.  I hope you will join us for this week's challenge.  Hugs, Yvonne

For the Quiet Moments We Share

Greetings! I am sharing a card today with you for today's challenge of Love and Hearts over at 365 Cards.  Our sponsor for this entire week at 365 Cards is DRS Designs.  I chose this whimsical Heart Tree and touching sentiment from DRS Designs to create my card.  The panels were distressed with Spun Sugar Distress Ink and the Heart Tree was water colored with Distress Markers.  Bits of paper, vintage buttons, seam binding, burlap string, cheese cloth, and Liquid Pearls complete my card.
