Hello and welcome to my blog! My post today is for the current challenge over at Make My Monday, which is about to close! We are to create a project inspired by hand painted painting below:
I chose to begin with a piece of hot pressed water color paper and then added washes of pink and light blue. The branches and cherry blossoms are a stencil from Red Lead Paperworks. I added them with a light coat of Pumice Stone Distress Ink and then water colored over top of the stenciled portions of the card. The birds are stamp images from Red Lead Paperworks, which were stamped onto the card panel and water colored as well. A splattering of metallic water color and a metal corner complete my card. I decided to add a sentiment as I have a number of friends who have lost a parent recently and I thought the card was soothing. Always difficult for me to create sympathy cards. Yvonne, this is lovely! The water colors are so soft and pretty. I know that this is a sympathy card, but you should consider doing one and putting it in a frame. It's so pretty.
