Greetings! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. I do not often enter challenges any more, as my design team assignments keep me quite busy, but I am challenging myself in 2014 to try to do so a bit more often as I really enjoy doing so. I decided to join the fun over at Simon Says with their current challenge of creating a project around the Wild West called "This is Where the Cowboy Rides." For my card, I stenciled the card base with various shades of Distress Ink, using a number of Tim Holtz Stencils. Next I stamped stars and a sentiment onto the card base. The focal images were stamped onto scrap card stock and water colored with Distress Markers and mounted to the card front. All images are from Artistic Outpost. I am also entering my card in the January Artistic Outpost Referral Program, which ends today! Thanks so much for dropping by. Hugs, Yvonne

What a wonderful card! I love those yellow sun rays, they really give the cowgirl theme a different look.
Yvonne, what a great western feel stenciled background! Love how you have her standing so proud! Fabulous card. Enjoy the weekend!
You make such wonderful cards, and I'll have a hard time choosing which one to case, but this is definitely one of my alternatives. I like the background of sun rays and stars, and the black in combination with yellow.
You and I have the same goal this year regarding challenges (although you are doing a better job of meeting it), lol. I love the cow girl image, looks fabulous with the stars on this too! ~Diane
Great card, I love your creative use of stencils! Thanks for joining us for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
Brilliant - love that farm image, and the cow-girl works so well with it... fabulous sunshine rays too! Great card, and thanks so much for playing along with us again at Artistic Outpost.

Yvonne I saw this come across in my reader on my phone and it is so beautiful! I wanted to stop by and tell you how much I love the yellow sunburst background and the cowgirl! The farm from AO looks so cool framed in burlap too!
This is so lovely! Gorgeous stenciled background and I love the stamps you used, and that great sentiment. Thank you so much for sharing with us at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog!
