By the Beautiful Sea

Greetings!  This is a scheduled post that I am hoping to post before we lose power here in Central Pennsylvania in the midst of Hurricane Sandy.  I hope wherever you reside that you are safe, dry and warm.  Over a 365 Cards, the challenge for today is to create a card based on a Decorative Item in your home.  My thoughts immediately went to this decorative pillow in my den.  Although my card is not a "replica," the composition was truly inspired by the pillow.  The images and sentiment are all from the Beyond the Sea plate by Artistic Outpost. The sky, light coming from the lighthouse and water were all created with Distress Inks.  I chose to use star fish rather than stars for my corners.  What will you chose to inspire your creation?  We hope you will join in the fun at 365 Cards!  Thanks for dropping by.  Best wishes, Yvonne

Really gorgeous cards Yvonne and I hope you don't get too many problems with the hurricane.
I was stunned to see all the New York damage last night and my heart goes out to everyone affected.
Take care and stay safe as I'm thinking of you.

Hi Yvonne
I was wondering if you were safe and well, I so hope you are.
Your card beautifully evokes a sense of vintage nautical.
Take good care.
