This is my second post for today. I got a bit behind the past few days as I tried to feel better. So, if you would like to see my first post, please scroll down! I have excitedly been awaiting the return of challenges over at Crafty Individuals. For the first challenge of 2012, the theme is Spring! For my card, I began with this sweet clip art image from Crafty Individuals. I matted the clip art with a deep pink mat to pick up Mary's bow. The balance of the card is also layered with yellows and deep pinks to echo the colors of the clip art photo. I stamped butterflies and a dragon fly from CI-292 and a sentiment from CI-277. Embellishments include a doily, a lacy butterfly by Martha Stewart, pink liquid pearls, German Scrap, vintage buttons and bits of Baker's Twine and some Winter White seam binding. I am one of those folks who pretty much enjoys winter, however, making this card has given me a true taste and yearning for springtime!
