The challenge this week at Bloggers' Challenge is to include any kind of embossing on your project. A few of you might have seen a post on my blog from a couple of days ago, where I explained why I would always choose dry embossing, if I have the choice. After years of heat embossing, one day I realized that my sofa, which was directly in front of my computer desk where I worked on cards at that time, was smoking away and I had burnt a sizable hole in the back of my sofa! What is worse, my sofa is now center stage when you enter our sunken living room, and the back is the first thing you see! Suffice it to say, I have covered the 'boo boo' with a beautiful afghan!
Enough of that...I chose a folder by Cuddlebug with numbers on it and embossed Kraft colored card stock. The numbers reminded me of school children and I remembered this sweet image and sentiment from the Think and Wonder plate by Artistic Outpost. I stamped the image twice, and mounted the trimmed black and white one onto the red and black image with pop dots for dimension. Some vintage buttons and baker's twine complete the card. Thanks for stopping by and I hope if you have not joined the challenge, you should consider giving it a try! Yvonne

Very sweet card. Sorry to hear about your sofa, but glad you are able to do some dry embossing without incident.
I do all my heat embossing in the guest bathroom, so we are safe! Your card so reminds me of "back to school." Adorable card!
I love Artistic Outpost images- this is a great card- great colors and embossing. OMG- that is terrible that you have a hole in the couch!
Striking color combination! The embossed numbers work wonderfully with this Artistic Outpost plate! Love the added buttons and twine! Thank goodness for afghans!
Great card, Yvonne. Beautiful!
Very pretty, Yvonne! Love the buttons and the Baker's Twine! Sorry about your sofa! I once burned a hole in my diningroom rug with the blasted heat embossing gun! Good news...I got to go shopping for a new rug!! :D
What a FABULOUS card! Love those images!
Love the color combination--and the letters and numbers are a perfect match for your image.
Wonderful card. Great images with that background.
Great card. Love the texture that the Cuttlebug folder adds to your card and the color combo just "pops!"
Oh my I am so sorry about your "couch mishap" but do not let that stop you from Wet Embossing ever again. It's to much fun watching that powder melt to go Cold Turkey IMHO!
This is a great card with great colors and embossing. I just stumbled onto your beautiful blog, through "Other Peoples art work" blog. Your arrangement is perfect and looks beautiful.
