Quoth the Raven

Hello Dear Friends!  The weeks fly by so fast and already it is time for another challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge. The theme for the next two weeks is to create a project around the theme of "Autumn Colors."  For my own creation, I began by applying three shades of PanPastels onto a piece of card stock.  I added stenciling with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and Tim Holtz Stencils. The pocket watch die cut, also by Tim Hotz Alterations, was colored with PanPastels and shaded along the edge Vintage Photo DI.  The focal image is by Red Lead.  The finished pocket watch was added to the card panel with foam dots along with a piece of cheese cloth that was dyed with Vintage Photo and Wild Honey DIs. The card panel was layered over a remnant of autumn printed gift wrap. A piece of upcycled lace, copper Liquid Pearls, some paper leaves and a vintage button complete my card.  I hope you will pop over to FSC to see what my Design Team Sisters have dreamed up to inspire you and then I hope you will create a project of your own to share with us.  Our generous sponsor FlonzCraft will provide a $20 gift card to one lucky participant.  Best wishes, Yvonne

It's the Little Things

Hello everyone! Thank you so much for dropping by today.  I truly appreciate every single visit and every comment.  Today, it is time for a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge with a new theme of "Sew Sew." I must confess, I am at the beach and do NOT have my duffle bag with me.  I thought I would be heading home sooner and because we had company did not plan to craft while away.  A trip to our local craft store allowed me to scoop up the bare essentials to create my card.  The focal image is by Inkidinkado and I truly do love it.  The dress was water colored with a Broken China Distress Marker and the edges were torn and distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.  The measuring tape by 7 Gypsies was stamped with Bundled Sage Distress Ink. Bits of ribbon, decorative fabric trim and lace and some Baker's Twine complete my card.  You will most certainly want to stop over to see what the rest of the Design Team has dreamed up to inspire you and join us in welcoming Laura to our Design Team family.  We look forward to seeing your creations, too, and remember one lucky participant will win a $20 gift voucher from our ever generous sponsor, FlonzCraft! Best wishes, Yvonne

Greatest Show On Earth

Wow! The weeks just fly by.  Already, it is time for a new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge.  This time around, we have a challenge around "Good things come in small packages."  Now this was truly a challenge for me!  I can truly say I have never made a project with dimensions this small (2.5" x  3").
I decided to make a small accordion style booklet.  When opened, it unfolds between the front and back cover.  The images used are all from Artistic Outpost and the diamond and dot stencils are from Dylusions.
I thought about several different color schemes, but in the end decided to use cream, black and red to maintain a vintage feel.  After stamping and stenciling, the booklet was distressed with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I sure hope you will take a moment and stop over to see the brilliant creations by the rest of the FSC Design Team and I hope, also, that you will submit a project of your own.  Thanks for dropping by! Yvonne

Ahoy Matey!

Ahoy there! We've a new challenge for the next two weeks over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge . This time around, our challenge is to create a project with a Nautical theme. I decided to create a tag for my inspiration piece using a stamp set by Artistic Outpost that is entitled Huck Finn. I don't know about you, but this little guy and his dog just take me back to my own childhood days! I fashioned the tag from brown card stock and distressed the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink. The images and main sentiment were stamped Rich Cocoa Memento Ink onto white card stock and heavily distressed with Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans and Vintage Photo Distress Inks. I also water colored the little boy's overalls using Faded Jeans Distress Ink. The boat image was mounted to a matting of red paper with distressed Kraft Photo Corners. Additional words: Dream, Explore and Discover were also stamped with Festive Berry Distress Ink, trimmed, distressed and mounted to the tag front. Embellishments include some re-purposed twine and ribbon, burlap and vintage buttons. I hope you will drop over and see what my Design Team Sisters at FSC have created to inspire you to make your own creation. Please remember that we are a stamp challenge. No digis are permitted. You will want to check FSC for full details for submitting to the Nautical Challenge. As always, there is a prize up for grabs for the top winner. Best of luck to each of you! Yvonne
