Magic is Something You Make

Greetings! Another month rolls by and it is time for the new challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge where the new theme is "Resist." I hope that you will stop over to FSC to see what the Design Team dreamed up to inspire you!

For my own creation, I stamped the focal image with Distress Paint in Picket Fence onto a water color panel. I blended various shades of Distress Inks over the water color panel and then gently wiped the ink off of the main focal image with a damp cloth to reveal the stamped image beneath. I splattered various acrylic paints and inks on the background, doodled around the edges of the focal image and the panel itself and stamped a sentiment on the panel. I grounded the image with washi tape. All stamps are by Dina Wakeley.

I hope that you will consider creating a piece to share with us at FSC. Remember we are a stamping challenge and your work most demonstrate that. One lucky participant will win a stamp image by our generous vendor Ink Art Designs. Best Wishes! Yvonne

For the Girls!

Greetings! Thank you for stopping by my blog today! My creation today is for the newest challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge, where the theme is "For the Girls." I hope that you will stop over and take a look at all the creative projects that our design team have dreamed up to share with you and then consider creating a project of your own to share.  Please remember that we are a stamping challenge, so stamping needs to be the focal point of any submitted project!

And as always, one lucky participant will be the winner of a stamp image selected and provided by our generous sponsor at Ink Art Designs!

My project began with a variety of Distress Ink Oxide Pads layered onto a watercolor panel.  The images and sentiments are by Dina Wakeley. A bit of black embossing paste through a stencil and some white paint splattered across my card complete my design.

Thanks for dropping by and I truly hope you will join in at FSC! Hugs, Yvonne
