To Have Faith

Greetings! It's time once again for another new challenge over at Inkspirational. This time, the challenge is to "Mask." I do not do a lot of masking, and I am always thankful for challenges that push me a bit to grow my skill set, so this one was perfect for me.  I hope you will stop over to see what the rest of the Design Team dreamed up to inspire you. Please consider submitting a piece of your own for us to enjoy.

For my card, I began by laying a number of different colors of Gelatos onto a water color panel. I added water until I was happy. Then I stenciled with a number of stencils on top of the panel. I found a stencil by Red Lead Paperworks in my stash that included a package of the cut outs created by the stencil, i.e. mask. I laid the masks on the panel and then spritzed with Black Marble Dylusions Ink Spray. After removing the masks, I splattered Golden Fluid Acrylic Paint in various colors over the panel. The sentiments and birds nest are by Red Lead Paperworks, too. Thanks so much for dropping by. Yvonne

Yvonne, this is amazing! The background, the stenciling, the images, the colours and, of course, your masking, make for one fantastic mixed media piece! I think you should share this gem over at some mixed media challenges; so many of your cards have the perfect elements! I know CAS Mix Up challenge would be a perfect place for you to link to and STAMPlorations has a MM challenge as well! Such artistry deserves as wide an audience as possible!
