Happy Birthday Annie
My husband's niece celebrate's her birthday this week. Something about this image from Artistic Outpost reminds me of her. She is a beautiful red headed young lady. There is a sentiment in this plate of images that says "Why fit in when you were born to stand out?" It seemed especially fittting for her birthday card. I hope she likes it. Thanks for stopping by and have a great week! Yvonne

Circus Time!
I've had this plate of images from Artistic Outpost for some time, but had not inked the rubber previously. I decided it was time. I love the vintage images and the catchy sentiment. Now I have to decide who to send the card to! Thanks for stopping by!
Simple Pleasures
I couldn't sleep the other night, so I decided to go over to my art studio and make a card. I closed my eyes and this adorable bicycle from Artistic Outpost came to mind. I stamped it with sepia ink and colored in the bike frame with a watercolor pencil. After matting the image, I added a gingham bow and some paper flowers along with a sentiment at the bottom right of the card. It was just enough to help me relax and think about heading back to bed. My card will be in the mail this week to cheer up my dear Aunt who recently lost her husband of 50+ years. I hope she likes it. Thanks for stopping by!

A New Baby Boy!
My husband's second cousin and his wife just had a new baby boy on Valentine's Day! This image by Artistic Outpost is my "go to" image for baby boy cards. I chose not to color in the image but simply stamp it in sepia ink. I added some color with the matting and lightly colored in the top and jacks with watercolor pencils. I decided not to blend with water as it would have enhanced the brillance of the color and taken away from the soft aura of the card. The litte boy and the top are raised with pop dots for added dimension. I hope they like the card. Thanks, as always, for stopping by.

Whoo Hoo!! Published in Take Ten!
I opened the mail drop at lunch today and was surprised to find the latest issue of Take Ten, which is about to hit the news stands. I was so excited to find that three of my cards were published. Each of them was part of a challenge to use items other than background paper when making cards. Two of them are above. I salvaged an old map my husband was about to discard and thought using a portion of the map and the legend a perfect backdrop for these images from Artistic Outpost. I am encouraged to continue to send in future artwork for consideration. Thanks for stopping by! Yvonne

Sweet Birthday Wishes!
A colleague of mine is celebrating her birthday tomorrow. She andd I share a passion for vintage so I immediately thought of the Polaroid Cutie images by Artistic Outpost when sitting down to make her Birthday Card. I never grow tired of this image and have used it on many occasions. I sure hope my friend has a wonderful birthday. Thanks for stopping by. Yvonne

Happy Valentine's Day, Granddaughter
Happy Valentine's Day, Grandson
I purchased a beautiful puppet theater for my grandchildren several years ago for Christmas. Keeping with the theme, this past Christmas I gave my grandchildren a beautiful set of Wizard of Oz puppets and a gorgeous hardcover color-illustrated book for Christmas. When I acquired this plate of images from Artistic Outpost, I knew I would be using these images for my grandchildren's Valentine's this year. My grandson will receive this card. Look for another post, shortly, of my granddaughter's Valentine. Thanks for stopping by.

Get Well Wishes
I made this card this evening for one of my husband's staff. She has really been very ill for quite some time. I searched through my stamps and saw these beautiful images from Artistic Outpost. It has been a long winter so I thought I would cheer her up with a spring-like card. I hope she likes it. Thanks for stopping by.
